Is there a difference between the Spider Classic 15 and the Spider IV 15

I know that the name implies that they are the same amp renamed and with an updated look (eg. black chrome knobs in place of silver chrome).

But is there any other difference? I have the IV 15, and am working on a review of the Classic 15 so any help would be appreciated.

The only update between Spider IV and the Classic 15 are the cosmetic differences you pointed out, otherwise they are the same amp.

Why would they do that? That seem like a waste of a "Rehash"

 

I was excited it was a "classic rock amp" full of "70 and 80s" rock tones. ill just paint my own knobs and let the one i have sit and collect dust, spend my $100. on something else.

 

When i first seen the "classic" tag ill be honest i was excited to get one but pffffft not now.
