Spider V Wireless issue

Hi

I've just received a Spider V 60 and the G10T wireless transmitter

My epiphone casino coupe works perfectly with the transmitter

However my epiphone electro-acoustic (PR-4E) does not seem to want to play ball. With the transmitter inserted the light flashes green and no indicator comes up on the amp ie battery level as it does with the electric. If I connect the electro acoustic with a cable directly to the amp there are no issues

Has anyone else experience this? Any help gratefully appreciated

On a different note has anyone else noticed a massive difference in volume when trying out the presets? I generally have my master level at about 10/11 o clock. Some of the presets sound really low at this volume whilst others nearly take the window out

I have seen reports of similar issues elsewhere on the Line 6 boards. Line 6 has FAQ with answers to a lot of questions an also there is a help page (post #16 has a pic of an adapter that you might want to try on your PR-4E). The short answer is that it happens a lot with guitars that have active pickups if (whether by design or not), voltage is applied to the ring connector on the G10T, if this happens, the G10T can go into "charging" mode whereby it thinks it is in the charger, hence, no signal.

See post #16 below for a picture of the adapter. Notice that it has to be the "mono" adapter so that it connects the ring and ground together and that allows the G10T to work correctly.

If the L-shape adapter does not work well with your guitar due to the fitting, there are also equivalent inline or short cable extenders that also work well.
