cbcbasket
Anyone have any patches for or ideas how to get the backing guitar tones in the David Benoit songs Linus and Lucy, Freedom at Midnight, Every Step of the Way, Drive Time? It is almost an acoustic sound with lots of chorus, heard on a lot of smooth jazz songs.
ADBrown
The guitar will play a large part in this tone, you'll want something fully hollow or semi. A good amp to start with the chorus-y smooth jazz sound is the jc-120 model. JC stands for jazz chorus, so it is very fitting. I like to use the analog chorus paired with this amp for that chorus-y, 80s, metheny-esque sound. I also like a bit of delay and I think the dark hall reverb works very well for jazz. I will try and make a preset and upload it for you to work from.
ADBrown
I uploaded a preset to the cloud that I hope comes close to what you're looking for. You can find it by searching my username: adbrown

kinglerxt
How do we search the Tone Cloud for presets by "user name" (author who uploaded/created the tone/patch) instead of by Song/Album/Artists using the Firehawk remote app?
ADBrown
Kinglexrt, you can search for presets by username in the same place you search for them by song/album/artist. Simply search with the username. You need to type out the full username when searching this way.
