The guitar will play a large part in this tone, you'll want something fully hollow or semi. A good amp to start with the chorus-y smooth jazz sound is the  jc-120 model. JC stands for jazz chorus, so it is very fitting. I like to use the analog chorus paired with this amp for that chorus-y, 80s, metheny-esque sound. I also like a bit of delay and I think the dark hall reverb works very well for jazz. I will try and make a preset and upload it for you to work from.

Kinglexrt, you can search for presets by username in the same place you search for them by song/album/artist. Simply search with the username. You need to type out the full username when searching this way.
