POD HD 500x - Tube Screamer

Hi,

I have my POD HD 500x connect to my tube amp via the 4 cabe method. If I place a tube screamer in the begining of my signal chain  on the POD will it accomplish the same result as if I had a Maxon/Ibanez tube screamer pedal hooked up?

Sorry if this a nood question I am new to the POD...still learning all the ins and outs of this device.

Yes, placing an FX pedal in the HD500X signal chain before the FX Loop in 4CM is structurally equivalent to placing an analog pedal between your guitar and the HD500X input. Whether the HD500X screamer model sounds the same as your physical Tube Screamer pedal, only you can judge.

I know this has nothing to do with this thread (because it's the helix and it's a different topic, etc...) but if you check this video comparing line 6 modeled vs analog pedals looks interesting (around minute 1:30 is the screamer). I don't think there is much difference between the modeled screamer in the hd and the helix...
