DarkLight1482
I just got my ux1 for christmas and I love using it with pod farm. I have a headset with a 1/8 jack so I bought one of those 1/8 to 1/4 adapters to plug into the microphone port on the ux1. I was not sure how to connect it to my computer speakers though. I have the logitech z623. This is a picture of the back of the subwoofer. http://media.bestofmicro.com/C/2/275186/original/Z623-sub-IO.jpg The green 3.5mm input on the back of the subwoofer is currently connected to my computer. I tried plugging that into the ports on the ux1 but no luck. The right speaker of the z623 has another aux port so I tried connecting an aux cord to the microphone port of the ux1 and it seemed to work but not so great. I was able to play youtube through it and it sounded good but the guitar did not. I really have no idea how all this stuff works. What would be the best way for me to connect my ux1 to the logitech z623 speakers?
silverhead
I would get a pair of 1/4" to RCA audio cables. Connect the 1/4" to the UX1 outputs and the RCA to the Aux inputs on the rear of your Logitech. Any audio store will carry the cables. They look like this: https://ca.images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0LEVie663NYZjEALzsXFwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTBsa3ZzMnBvBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--?p=1%2F4%22+to+RCA+audio+cables&back=https%3A%2F%2Fca.search.yahoo.com%2Fyhs%2Fsearch%3Fp%3D1%252F4%2522%2Bto%2BRCA%2Baudio%2Bcables%26type%3D50457_112616%26hspart%3Dtightrope%26hsimp%3Dyhs-tig4%26fr%3Dyhs-tightrope-tig4%26ei%3DUTF-8&w=900&h=722&imgurl=www.fullcompass.com%2Fcommon%2Fproducts%2Foriginal%2F14741.jpg&size=39KB&name=14741.jpg&rcurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fullcompass.com%2Fprod%2F054530-Zaolla-ZCPR-215&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fullcompass.com%2Fprod%2F054530-Zaolla-ZCPR-215&type=&no=8&tt=120&oid=b9002a52e242a0bb708a719f90d7335b&tit=Zaolla+ZCPR+215+Audio+Cable+Dual+RCA+Male+Dual+1+4+Male+15+Feet+%7C+Full+...&sigr=11m3i54ei&sigi=11mij6cvg&sign=1098mb008&sigt=103vg5ole&sigb=14mvm85ao&fr=yhs-tightrope-tig4&hspart=tightrope&hsimp=yhs-tig4 Or, get a cable like this and connect the 1/8" mini jack to your Logitech. Again use the 1/4" outputs from the UX1. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pro-Series-Y-Adapter-1-8-TRS-Male-to-2-1-4-TS-Male-Cable-56-Inch-/291836795922?hash=item43f2d41c12:g:R-cAAOSwIgNXosuC
DarkLight1482
So if I get the 1/4 to RCA, would I connect the two 1/4 to the two analog outs?
silverhead
Yes.
fflbrgst
Just a note: Microphone = input on the UX1; you would never plug a speaker or headphones into a microphone input. I've heard of some people using a speaker in fornt of a kick drum as an auxiliary mic, but that's the exception. On the UX1 you want to use the analog out 1/4" jacks - left AND right, and run them to the left and right AUX RCA inputs on the subwoofer (use cables like these from HOSA: https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CPR-202-Stereo-Interconnect-Cable/dp/B000068O17 . Then connect the left and right satellite speakers to the subwoofer as normal (one is a D-sub, the other an RCA jack).
DarkLight1482
When i said microphone I guess i really meant the headphones port on the right side of the front of the UX1. Thanks for the input though, I ordered the exact cables you linked on amazon. Can't wait. Thanks guys.
