ge31
Hi All, I don't understand in the Helix manual what "When set to "Auto Return," Helix returns to the previous footswitch mode after selecting a snapshot." mean. which "Previous footswitch mode" does mean ? Thanks for your help
jbuhajla
I think that means that if you are on Snapshot 1 and you tweak a parameter, if you select Snapshot 2 before saving, the parameter you tweaked will revert back to what it was. That means you have to save the preset before selecting another Snapshot. If you have it set to recall, you can tweak a snapshot and select another snapshot and the setting for the previous is retained. You do have to save the preset though before selecting another preset otherwise your snapshot tweaks will not be saved.

silverhead
Actually, no. The behaviour jbuhala describes is controlled by the Snapshot Recall (Save?) or Discard parameter. The behaviour mentioned in the OP relates to the screen display when you place the device in Snapshot mode by holding down the Up/Down buttons simultaneously. If you set this parameter to Auto Return, the display will show the available snapshots with their lights blinking and as soon as you select one the display will revert to its previous state (mode). For instance, if you were in 4-preset/4-FS mode when you activated the snapshot blinking display, it will revert back to that mode - not, say, 8 Presets mode.
