Either would be fine. The 59 has the added feature of having pick-ups,
so there is that extra versatility there.
Never had any service/repair issues with 59's and 69's with Fishmans on
them. Sometimes come in with just the mounting bracket on only, so the
unit doesn't get my way. Considerate of them, but not necessary, I work
around it.

Only issue that comes to mind is spacing between the bridge and bridge pickup on the 59 - but the TriplePlay pickup fit just fine on my 69, I'm guessing you'll be fine. The TP pickup is pretty thin...

How did you end up mounting the Fishman TP on the JTV59? The included brackets are not compatible with the bridge.

You could also consider JamOrigin's MIDI Guitar 2 which does not require any hardware on the guitar.

I was able to mount with the brackets provided using the strap nut bracket along with one of the risers, worked well. I will send a picture tomorrow.
Just ordered the Triple Play Guitar Controller and being that I have both Variax Acoustic 700 and JTV59 I'm hesitant on which guitar I'll put it.
