Just received the Helix....

Recommended Posts

2 issues....every link I try to download for the editor takes me to an up loader download that doesn't do anything once I open it????

Also the pedal squeaks and feels either too tight or too loose when I use allen wrench on side?

Please advise.  Thanks!

For the Helix pedal issue follow these links.  I used White Lithium grease myself and a toothpick without taking the bolt all the way out.  So read all three links and pick your best choice.

Hope this helps

Now for the update use this link first.  I have the floor model not the rack unit.  So follow the instructions based upon your model

Then have the Updater update the unit.  While it may not matter you could update to Firmware 2.11 first then start the process again and update to Firmware 2.12 just to follow a stepwise process.  The Helix Editor is going to be 2.11 until the new release comes out.

BTW - what version did your unit come with?

Good info, thanks! Not for nothin', but seems like another good place for them to post an announcement like that would be, I dunno, the Line 6 Helix forum? Maybe it's just me, I jump to craaaaaazy conclusions sometimes...

It was Frank's response to an ongoing conversation in the massively active all things Helix Thread on TGP. You should monitor that thread too, as there is always good info being discussed and exchanged there.

I would be quite surprised that once the doc/bulletin is released it is not also posted here on Line 6's site. Where it will appear (Forums, Knowledgebase, etc.) remains to be seen.

Un-did screw on bottom.  loosened the allen bolt and used white lithium grease with a toothpick.  Tightened and all good now.  Just be careful to not lose those small screws!
