raymon68
I want to know if i can assign effects/patches to specific outputs on HD 500? Example: i want wah-wah effects to go into the intstrument in on my amp and i want to have an active delay in my amp's effects loop? Is panning the way to do that? silverhead
You can't directly assign specific FX to specific outputs. Panning may be helpful, as may the HD500 FX Loop - can't say without more specifics, but give it a try.
raymon68
Okay let me ask in a different way. I want to have two effects chains running simultaneously. One from my guitar to the instrument input on my amp. For the next loop i want use the effects loop on my amp. The problem i am trying to solve is that I spent good money on an Amp that is modeled in HD 500. So i want use the actual preamp for clean and crunch. But as we know some effects are more effective between the guitar and the amp and other effects are more effective in the FX. So i am looking for a way to get that flexibility. TheRealZap
so you want an effect chain/model through the left side, and a dry signal through the right pretty much? that's possible, many use that to record the dry track.
silverhead
Perhaps the four-cable method of connecting your amp and HD500 is what you want: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2504 I think this will let you do what you want by using an HD500 preset with no amp, some FX placed before the HD500 FX Loop, and some after.
