Adjust (lower) input gain?

My firehawk 1500 sounds quite good as a bluetooth speaker.  But as a guitar amp it does not sound good.  I'm getting a bad digital clipping/overdrive sound and any patches with gain to them sound bad.  The patches all sound similar due to this clipping.  It's not a nice overdriven sound; it's buzzy and farty.  Clean patches are reasonably ok.  With a les paul (burstbucker pros) the sound is much worse than with a strat with single coils.  Which makes me think the pickups are overdriving the input and making it clip.

On my HD500 and on the Helix there is a control to eliminate clipping the input.  Is there one for the firehawk?  I can't seem to find one.

Thanks!

I am not sure there is an input pad.

Assuming your amp is not defective, have you looked at the output as far as both guitar and overall are set ? If everything looks good, do you have the ability to plug in external monitors or headphones to see if this is happening thru that signal ?

Just trying to rule things out. How about a complete reset to the amp ? Maybe that will clear it up.

If not, I would call line 6 and see what they think, maybe they can give you some suggestions.

Hopefully it doesn't have to go back , it is one heavy beast as you know. Good luck and hope you get it resolved
