calojer
Hi everybody, I noticed that I can't get a Crunch sound with Tweed B-man Brt Pre amplifier, without using other FX. Drive Vol to 100% and Channel Vol to 100% doesn't get a Crunch sound just as it would make a true Bassman amplifier. Is it normal? Thanks! bjnette
It seems to be normal for the pre models but the full amp model will breakup when volume and gain on full.
Ed_Saxman
Some amps have all the dirt in the "Pre" while many others have it on the poweramp (modeled in the full amps) Unless you have a DT amp, It does not make much sense to use the Pre versions. pfsmith0
From my distortion measurements here, the table shows that the Tweed B-man is a very clean amp, so you may need more signal than normal. The graphs show that the PowerAmp has more gain than the Preamp. So if you want crunch, you should use the full model.
