Cable to use Helix amp control with Randall RT50C

The footswitch uses what looks like a six pin MIDI/DIN cable, and has 3 footswitches - channel toggle, reverb on/off and FX loop on/off. The amp doesn't have any 1/4" control jacks. I want to use my Helix to switch channels instead. Is this possible? If so, what adapter do I need?

Hi there.

If it is a MIDI jack, I suppose that the signal your current footswitch is sending to the amp might be simulated by the HELIX.

Maybe you can connect HELIX (midi out) and amp via MIDI cable and figure out, which MIDI channel and programm change to be used.

Have a look here (explanation of midi commands for RM100 amp):

cheers

The pins in the connector are not in the same arrangement as those on a conventional MIDI cable. They're two curved rows of 3 pins per row. Its been suggested its actually a 7 pin connection, though I can only see six. The RM100 has proper MIDI connectors, my RT50C doesn't.
