Firehawk bluetooth connection is stable for audio but not editting

Bluetooth seems to work well on my Firehawk FX for audio play back. It always connects easily for streaming from the Firehawk app or any other iOS app.

However, editing is a different story. The Firehawk app say "Device Not Connected" at the bottom even when it is connected for music playback. I have read the Bluetooth FAQ. It suggests a 13 step process to follow. This is too much to go through every time I want to edit anything.

I have 10 days to figure this out, or I am returning the Firehawk FX. I'd really love to get it working more reliably.

What are you using? Android or iOS. I never have any connectivity issues with iOS. Sometimes, and very rarely I will have to turn bluetooth off on my phone, turn it back on - close the firehawk fx app and reopen it and its good to go.

I am on iOS. Closing and reopening the app rarely works. Forgetting the device and rebooting both, works but is a massive pain. I wonder if it is a defective Firehawk?

Sorry I've just re-read my post and I don't think I was clear.  I meant that I killed the program altogether by double pressing the home button then swiping the program up to end it, rather than just closing it by pressing the home button once to navigate away from it.  Then when you start up the program again it asks you to sign in again.

Either way, I agree that it's a right royal PITA.

Yep, that was the first thing I tried. That work roughly 20% of the time. The other 80% seems to require restarting both the Firehawk and the iPad. I am guessing there is a shorter set of steps for the 80% case, but I havent figured them out.

EASY fix for the multiple issues everyone seems to be having with Line 6 FIREHAWK FX, I reverted back to my BOSS GT100, no Bluetooth problems or issues, EASY editing and saving of tones and some good tone downloads using the Bosstone interface.

Glitchy Bluetooth connectivity is a failing common to the model, not just your unit. Some people will insist it is something to do with your iOS or Android, but it is not. It is just a product that does not work all that well and probably could have used a whole lot more testing before release.
