MikeAllen-Pugh Posted June 18, 2017 Share Posted June 18, 2017 Hi, I've bought the Helix but am having some issues with connecting a TC Nova Drive to it via one of the FX loops. Couple of problems really : - When switiching presets, the Helix doesn't sent anything to the Nova System via MIDI to change presets on it. Really not sure if I have MIDI set up correctly on the Helix to communicate with it, ideas appreciated. - When I do get the MIDI switching to work, is it possible to change presets in the Nova via snapshots in one preset on the Helix? By default, the Helix sends PC messages with preset changes, so that should change presets on the Nova Station as well. The setting for that is located at Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo on page 2. There's a setting for MIDI PC Receive and MIDI PC Send. If you have MIDI PC Send on there, the Helix will just send the MIDI PC message associated with the preset you load. If you turn it off, you can still send custom messages. You just have to go to the Command Center and program them as Instant Messages. The same goes for changing presets on the NS with snapshots. You can have separate MIDI commands for each snapshot on the Helix. You just have program them in the Command Center while you're in each snapshot.
