buffyrat
I record using my POD X3 Pro which is fantastic. BUT I am getting to stage I near more inputs (to record a drum kit for example) Is there any way the number of inputs/channels can be expanded using an X3 Pro as the recording interface so I could for example, record 4 mics at once onto 4 different channels in my DAW? e.g. By adding some sort of 4 channel mic preamp or even hooking the X3 to another X3 to give 4 mic inputs or something? If that's not possible and I have to buy a second 4 channel audio interface, would I still be able to run VST Pod Farm as long as the X3 is connected to the PC, even though it's not the selected audio device? Thanks in advance.
TheRealZap
its not possible (the same internal hardware clock needs to control all inputs and outputs to properly work with the audio stream for latency and other corrections) as long as the x3 is plugged in you will be able to use pod farm though. silverhead
There's virtually no chance that the X3 is going to be expanded. You will need another interface. And yes, Pod Farm (version 1 that was bundled with the X3 when you bought it) will work with the X3 connected even if it is not the selected audio device. buffyrat
That's pretty much what I thought but it's good to hear Pod Farm should at least still work. Thanks guys for your swift replies :)
