DarthHollis Posted July 10, 2017 Share Posted July 10, 2017 So it seems that Mission Engineering has a "spring load" option on their expression pedal. It will always go back to a heel down position. I would like to do this on mine but I think I would have to send it in to them and have them make the modification. Has anyone done their own modification to an expression pedal like this? I've seen people convert Wah pedals by turning around a metal piece under the foot thing but that is not easy to get to without possibly damaging the pedal. Adding a spring? Foam? Any other ideas? Zaiten Posted August 19, 2017 Share Posted August 19, 2017 No need to mod whatsoever. simply use the hex key to loosen the expression pedal resistance screw and it will do that: as soon as you let go it falls to heel position —at varying speeds depending on the tightness. Aside from EXP-equipped multiFX pedals, I've only come across a single expression pedal with a spring to do just that and it's the Yamaha EP1.
