amor4jc-2
Greetings Helix community, I use the Helix's Ext Amp feature to change the state on an external device. I would like to be able to be able to trigger a change of that state via Helix's Ext Amp feature within Snapshots. However, the Ext Amp parameters on the Command Center page do not facilitate the assignment of that parameter (via [bracketing] ) to Snapshot control. What am I missing? Is this not possible?! To add a wrinkle, my external device uses its key input to toggle its state internally, so the Helix switch must only function as a momentary controller (not a toggle). This may complicate the above issue. (In order to accomplish this on a stomp switch, my work around has been to assign a "dummy" block to the stomp switch and set that block to momentary. This works fine. Otherwise, the Helix stomp switch and the external device will both be in a toggling mode, the net result of which means that it requires 2 presses of the Helix stomp switch to cycle toggle states on the external device.) Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help! Not sure about the second part of your question but the Ext Amp commands are assignable to snapshots via the Command Center. See pages 38 and 45 in the Helix Rev. D manual. If you can use MIDI instead of Ext Amp switching with your amp many have found this video helpful.
jdosher
The Helix should be able to do this, but the functionality is partially broken. You can change Ext Amp relay states on a per-snapshot basis, but if you manually change states (eg switch amp channels) the Helix will NOT change the Ext Amp relay(s) to match the state when changing to another snapshot. Major bug!
