Ayup
Hi I'm planning to update my Spider IV 120 to version 2.0 (currently version 1.04). 2 questions : 1. Are the additional patches worth taking the time to update the flash ? 2. Can I update from 1.04 straight to 2.0 or do I have to update all the prior incremental updates first (I'll be using a laptop running Win10) ? Thanks Rich
fflbrgst
Using Line 6 Monkey and an FBV Express or Shortboard MkII, you should be able to update direct to 2.0. Note that you will want to update the FBV firmware, too (first). There were some issues getting Monkey to recognize the devices plugged in with older Windows versions, not really sure on Win10
BowerR64
One benifit IMO, is with the older version you couldnt use a computer to edit the Amp, with the 2.0 version you can then link the PC, across the room hooked to the pedal and then edit the patches. This IMO is the best part, you can see a sort of animated display click and drag to change the settings I loved the edit on my XT live pedal and the new Spider IV edit is about as cool.
