davidjtsim76
Hi guys, So after a week or 2 of poweramp and cab I’m realising I’m not really using this beast the way its meant to be - so been looking at FRFR solutions and the Matrix FR 10 or 12 seems to fit the bill. Any thoughts on these compared to other rigs?
pbatts
They seem like nice units. I would think they have a big sound. They appear to get a lot of love. No direct experience with them. I prefer the form factor of a more traditional PA speaker that can be placed on the floor, either upright or as a wedge or on a pole. And I use the same speaker that I use in my PA, so, I have some backup. Also I know what I hear is the same thing that the PA is projecting. In the end, I think it is a very personal choice. DanishMic
Joining for some experiences with this. Looks like a way to go. I have a Matrix GT1000FX and a MAtrix NL12. Sounds killer. 3 things make me look at different options: 1. the Matrix is running at 240v only 2. Matrix GT1000FX is in a rack case 3. would be way more easy to only have 1 cab wich an amp build in.
