Just give me a sample of dry guitar tone, with no effects or amp!! Hit the strings, one by one slowly and open, and then strum all together. I will help you! arislaf Posted October 22, 2017 Author Share Posted October 22, 2017 looking and reading better on the site I linked, I noticed that the numerous examples were recorded with an acoustic guitar and that their true purpose is only to compare two different pickups, rather than hear the sound they would have on an electric guitar. . so I guess it's not very useful to what you would do. what a pity, I am sorry.. who knows if exists such a site with clean electric PUPs samples of all types.. as consolation there is this one, "Seymour Duncan Comparison Audio" but all the sounds are through amps, very interesting but still not very useful to do your work Thanks for the effort nevertheless! Depends on the guitar body and winding counts sometimes changed through the years but G&L (Leo Fender) probably deserve some place in Variax capabilities? I have some pickup combinations I would like to recreate from a custom guitar, an Ibanez, a Caparison and a ESP guitar. Some of them are in standard tuning, one in drop C and one in D standard.
