Guest
Hey guys ! I have a little problem and I don't understand its origin :When I use the looper, I can record my loop and right after that all my footswitches are blocked except for the 7th and the 8th footswitches. I didn't have that problem a few weeks ago, I updated my firmware, drivers, ... Moreover, the first time it happened to me I switched my HD 500 off and on which settled it.But it doesn't work anymore ! Maybe I should try to reset the pedal? I prefer to ask before doing something wrong ! Thanks a lot !Finalchimera

Guest
Hey Guru ! The problem occured again, I reflashed the POD HD500 and it still happens.I guess it must be a hardware problem then... :/ What do you think? Finalchimera
stumblinman
Crack it open and check your ribbon cables. Something may be loose or damaged. If it only happens when in looper mode, I would say hardware defect, especially if the reflash/reset/recal didn't fix it.
Guest
Hey Iknowathingortwo ! Thanks for your reply, I checked and everything seems to be fine concerning the ribbon cable. In fact, the FS6 switch is blocked all the time, the others worked fine right after the reflashing when I did it for the first time. There must be a problem with the FS6 switch, my warranty is over anyway so maybe I should bring it to the shop I got it from and ask for help. Thanks anyway guys ! stumblinman
Did you try some electronics contact cleaner into the switches? Unplug it obviously. Buy a can of the aerosol contact cleaner and spray all the foot switches one at a time and press them several times to work the cleaner in and try and clean out any gunk. Worth a try!
