foot pedal for spiderIII 150

Hi guys, have just purchased a spiderIII 150 for my 15yr old son and tried a fbv express mkI but it didn't work. Do I need the mkII and would this require a pod or work just plugged into the combo?

I would try a different cable (cat 5) to make sure it was the FBV that was bad (could be the port on either the amp or the fbv but usually s-not).

tested mk1 before paying. tuner worked but wah/volume stayed on volume. when tried to play, it cut the amp out. been advised from both the vender & my local music store that it needs mk2. will look through the link. thanks BillBee

Your vendor and music store are wrong.

 

The toe switches in the FBV are pretty stiff and you have to put some weight on them (ie stand up and try). Its either the amp, cable or fbv. You can always take the amp up to the store and try one of them out with it.
