how do you install PHF file on Windows 10 ?

I have downloaded the update file for my hd500x on windows 10 , the 2.62 version that includes the metal and vintage pack. but it's a phf file and windows does not recognize it, how do you install it ? thanks in advance. cheer.s Ed

usually when you run the Line 6 Monkey app, it can update everything that needs to be updated/installed without the need to download other apps/files separately..

 

generally all that works very well until the internet connection is stable and the L6 server is up and running, ie most of the time..

 

but flashing the firmware into the POD is a very delicate operation that needs no troubles of any sort until all the procedure has completely ended succesfully, otherwise you can brick the device..

 

downloading separately the phf firmware file (as you did) is IMO a very good habit, because you can install the firmware by still using the Monkey app but choosing the available option "update from file" (ie the already fully downloaded phf file), thus avoiding any potential risk related to the good functioning of the internet line
