NOISE GATE PODXT VS HD500X AND COMPRESSOR

Hi Guys: I have a question On the Noise Gate of the PODXT the Threshold Parameter is in db, but on the HD500X is on % Â¿db and % is it the same? The same thing for Compressor effect....is it the same db and % ????
