sabbathmaiden
Greetings! I was just gifted a FirehawkFX to inspire me on my journey to learn to play the bass guitar. I have a very simple and old Behringer BXL 450 bass amp and I'm confused about how to plug in my guitar and Firehawk into the amp so I can hear the effects as I play. I'm not sure I have the right cords, I'm simply using guitar cords--one from my bass into the "guitar in" of the Firehawk, one from the 1/4 main out (left/mono) of the Firehawk into the input of the front of my bass amp. I am getting no sound at all and wondering I have it set up right? Do I need special cords for this besides guitar cords? Thank you!
kinglerxt
If you are plugging the output from the FH into the front of the Bass AMP and not using a Full Range Flat Response monitor or using headphones, then make sure the push button on the back of tge FH is set to AMP not LINE. Also note that if you are using a bass amp it will sound different due to the deep bass speakers used in bass amps. Do you hear sounds if you plug your headphones into the back of the unit and push the switch to the LINE setting, just to make sure the unit itself works so you can eliminate that? When you turn the big knob is it at least 25-50%? (Red LEDs) If you push the big dial down it will go to White LEDs and that will control the input volume of the guitar/bass so make sure you actual instrument is turned up to 50-100% and the white LED ring volume on the FH is up and not at Zero. Get back to us Good luck
