GazzaBloom
I have an iMac connected to a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 audio interface via FireWire and a pair of near fields connected to the Focusrite. Can I connect the Helix to the Mac by USB and have the output play through the Focusrite? or must I connect the Helix to the Focusrite directly? srcsrc
I think you can use both. Connect the helix by USB. In the DAW, you choose the in you want to use for each track. Sorry for my bad english.
guitarnstuff
you can also set up an "aggregate" of the two in audio setup of Mac. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202000
EdwinV
This should be possible, but may depend on your DAW. For instance, with Logic Pro X you will be able to set it up that way. As mentioned above, the "aggregate" functionality gives even more flexibility as you can use multiple audio interfaces simultaneously. I'm using Helix, a Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK and a Focusrite 2i2 in this way.
