Footswitch controlled parameter, like runaway feedback

I would like to use a footswitch in momentary mode (as opposed to latching) to change the feedback parameter of a delay. Possible? 

 

The idea is to emulate the "havoc" or "runaway" mode on some analog delay pedals.

You just assign the feedback parameter on the delay to a footswitch controller. It's described on pg 42 of the manual. Just hold down the knob under the feedback parameter, and that will take you the Controller Assign screen. Hit Knob 6 for "Learn Controller" and hit the footswitch you want to assign it to. Then set the max and min values. You probably want to set the min to be the same value as you have set for the saved value in the preset. Set the max to something close to 100... Sometimes having the feedback all the way up is too uncontrollable.

Thanks, but I've done that process. I can clearly see that the footswitch is assigned to the feedback parameter, with min:0 and max: 100%. But pressing the FS does not change the value. I will try again with a blank preset, so other assignments don't conflict...

OK, that worked fine for a new preset. I'll go figure out what was wrong with my more complex preset. Thanks!

Now I wonder if I can use an external footswitch for the same effect. I tried plugging a simple momentary switch into EXP3, but that doesn't work.

No go on the foot switches but you could use an expression pedal and set the min to your default setting. Then you can sweep all the way up from there and back
