Can i send tap tempo to Timeline and el cap?

I'm enjoying my helix , new verbs are really awesome.  I've always been pretty pleased w/the dirt side of things.  I'm still not completely sold on the delays though...not quite sure what it is.

I'm contemplating  running my timeline and el cap in one of the send/recieve spots and letting them handle all of the delay stuff.  Not 100% set on doing this but def thinking about it. 

Can i send tap tempo to both of them at the same time?

I'm not sure that El Capistan has midi but you can certainly do it with the Timeline. Assign CC93 value 0 on the correct channel to footswitch 12 in the Command Centre.

The TimeLine can receive MIDI clock and the Helix can send it, so that would be easier than using tap tempo. As far as the El Capistan, that's a bit tricky. The Helix doesn't send a tap pulse that would work with the El Cap. I tried midi clock but it was kind of always on, where as mt method let your Stymon preset control its time unless you hit the tap switch.

 

Just a different approach to the same objective I guess.

Thinking about it, it should be possible to control them both via the Expression jack using the CV out.

It would require soldering skills though.
