Unable to update firmware on TT

I'm unable to update firmware on my Amplifi TT (to 2.61.00 from 2.) either by Bluetooth or PC via the the updater. I continually get 'error has occurred. Please try again.' I have tried the 'update' mode and have tried every USB port I have. It obviously recognises the hardware but will not update.  Anybody got any idea what I can try next short of taking a hammer to this mother...

Hi.

Thanks for getting in touch. I'e spent 2 days straight trying to update via pc and the updated app which just kept saying error update failed, also tried BT via my iPad, just gave me  frozen screen when I tried to update. Everywhere I looked; here and elsewhere on the internet I was advised to ignore previous updates and just chose the latest...wrong. in my case anyway. I downloaded 2.50.2 which then allowed me to download 2.61.00. Was within a gnats nuts of binnng the unit altogether. Thanks anyway for your offer of help. Until the next time (fingers crossed) cheers and keep on truckin...

Glad you got it sorted!!

Line6 recently updated their forum software and their site in general was down for a while and then glitchy, and still ironing out some bugs, so that may have been part of the issue. As long as the FW is at minimum when they added Android support (originally you could only use an iPhone and there was no PC Updater) the advice to just flash to the newest is (was??) correct.

yep... do not skip updates.. do them all in order.  pretty lame i had to waste a lollipop ton of time getting update failed notifications and having everything freeze up.  i bought mine used today and was thinking i got screwed by the person that sold it to me.
