colind Posted March 27, 2018 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Running HX Effects firmware v2.54 & HX Edit v2.52 on a Windows 10 PC. HX Effects cannot run a backup as error code -8606 appears when the program gets to 'Presets'. Also, the only screen that is available in HX Edit shows the Presets but no further info is shown and the only options are to copy/import/export them. The 'Impulses' screen is blank. I've tried on 2 PC's and the results are identical. Any ideas as to what's wrong? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
phil_m Posted March 27, 2018 Share Posted March 27, 2018 This is because of a corrupted preset... (How they get corrupted, no one knows... Hanging out with the wrong sort of guitar effects, I suppose...) Anyway, you can tell what preset is messing it up by looking at the progress percentage it stops at and multiply that percentage by 128. Like if stops at 15%, 0.15 x 128 = 19.2, so probably the 19th preset in the list. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
