But I am not connecting the midi out of the Helix to the midi in on the GR55. What's the purpose of this? Is this something I should be doing as well?? arkieboy Posted May 3, 2018 Share Posted May 3, 2018 I do pretty much the same with my VG99 - guitar out of VG into guitar in of Helix, stereo out from VG into return 1&2, midi send to VG to change patches. It adds about 10 mins to the setup time, in return you get those VG acoustic guitars and COSM synths. It is also a nice way to add several midi controllers to your rig - two footswitches, one expression and the D-Beam and ribbon controller.
