rudomat
that really drives me crazy, that i always have to move the xpression pedal first while searching for the right parameter, to hear the changes... of course it should be possible to hear the changes in real time and not have to move the pedal first to be able to hear the changed parameters... jbuhajla
Set your expression pedals to global rather than per preset and it should take care of it.

Thurston9
Try turning it anti-counterclockwise until it clicks 1/2 times and then push pedal 17.

No, no, no... he must face north while singing "Fly Me To The Moon", and juggling 3 live chipmunks. ;)

Are you referring to pedal edit mode with your feet, or what? Your initial question did not make sense?
brue58ski
I'm pretty sure what he is saying is...There are other pedal board units that as you change the max and/or min of, for example, a volume pedal, you can hear the changes as you do them. He's saying the Helix doesn't act that way so, apparently, you have to actually move the pedal before you hear what effect the changes have. Rudomat, is that close? I haven't tried this myself so I can't confirm it but I think that's what this is about.

zivdud
hopefully this helps I know that I had problems at first properly assigning parameters to the expression pedal or footswitches. I would think it is moving the parameters after “programming it” but I would hear no changes. That is when I figured what I was doing. amsdenj
The same thing happens with footswitches. I use a Drive footswitch to change amp drive from min to max values. If I edit the controller and change the min and/or max value, the change doesn’t take effect until I press the footswitch.
jbuhajla
Yes, you have to operate the expression pedal (or foot switch) to populate the new value after changing the upper or lower limit.
