Indianrock2020 Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 The VDI cable disconnect issue: I think I may have found the issue here. The cables I bought don't have the shrink tubing ( sweetwater vdi cable ). Mine both have a black knurled "nut" shown by the red arrows and if those aren't tight, the jack inside can move in an out. Indianrock2020 Posted July 8, 2018 Author Share Posted July 8, 2018 Doesn't take much of a bump when the actual contacts at the guitar end of the cable can move when the Jack housing is not moving. amsdenj Posted July 11, 2018 Share Posted July 11, 2018 I had this problem with my Variax 700 Acoustic and a new Line6 VDI cable. My old cable works fine.
