If a footswitch/knob is destroyed..

There is a MIDI CC that corresponds to footswitches in Stomp Mode, and you can access presets and snapshots via MIDI, so in that sense, you can kind of virtually replace a footswitch. You would lose the capacitive touch features, though, and those are somewhat important to overall workflow.

 

As far as the knobs, there’s no MIDI message associated with the knobs themselves. There are other ways to control parameters of effects, but the knobs do a lot more than just that.

 

The MIDI implementation isn’t designed to replace the UI, but rather to give you remote control of certain features of the unit.

Hi kalmigs,

 

I wouldn’t worry too much, they are sturdy units and are designed and built for jumping on. If you can afford to do it - buy a full Helix Floor model, they are built like a tank!

 

Whatever you decide, it will be fine.
