burtbick
I've been using the 1/4" (Left) output every since I got my HD500, but I'd like to change to using the XLR output(s) to the mixer. But the XLR level is significantly lower than the 1/4" outputs. Is there a setting that I'm missing that would give more output level on the XLR output (Left) that would get it closer to the level from the 1/4"? The 1/$" Output is set to Line. I see in the manual that there is an Output Options Setup setting, Would that be likely to help or would I just need to adjust the pre-amp level on the Mixer to deal with the difference? Would the Output Options setting only impact the XLR outputs or the 1/4" as well? Thanks, Burt
cruisinon2
XLR outputs are mic level, which is considerably lower than line level... nothing to do but boost the output of individual patches, or deal with it at the mixer.
burtbick
Thanks cruisinon2, That's what I thought but wanted to double check before I made any changes. I'll address it in the mixer rather than the individual patches since that should cover all my cases. Thanks again, Burt
pfsmith0
You can see from here that the XLR outputs are about 9.5dB lower than the 1/4" outputs.
