New Helix - Need to run License Manager ?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have just purchased a new Helix.

I have had quite a few L6 products in the past and have run License Manager to "authorise" them.

Do I need to do this with the Helix, or is License Manager a thing of the past ?

When I ran License Manager, it could not find the Helix which is connected to my computer via USB.

Baffled.

Thanks.

Did the Helix drivers get installed? If so, are you using a USB hub? If so, don't or, if not, try a different USB port.

The license manager isn't used for Helix. Instead, register it in your support account.

Hi Brue58ski.

Thank you for reply.

Yes, drivers installed. No hub.

Hi,

It may help to know what computer system you are trying to hook up to.

Quite a lot of issues stem from USB connections, but as you are not using a hub it clears that point.

A little more info could help solve the problem.

I don't think he's having any problems with his USB connection. The license manager simply doesn't contain Helix in it's list of devices to authorize, so it will never find it.

Hi,

I thought that he had registered his Helix with Line 6, but was still having issues with his computer failing to see it?

Maybe I misunderstood the situation.

Hi Data Commander

Thanks for the reply.

I can see and use the Helix after registration, but I can't see it on the License Manager.

On all my other L6 gear, I had to "authorise" them via the license manager.

Regards.
