Impulses empty after restart?

Hi

im owner of a HelixLT unit for 5 days now.

really a great device so far!

Directly after installing the device, I’ve updated to latest 2.60 firmware.

ive experimented with some impulse responses lately. And for the 2nd time, HX edit shows a empty list of impulses!

They are stored on the unit, aren’t they?

do I have to disconnect or close Hx edit before turning off the device?

this way I’m not able to take my patches anywhere. :(

thanks

robig

Not the case for me.  I'm in 2.71 and have 2.71 Helix edit and the list just started showing up empty.  I was hoping to update to 2.80 but I need to figure out which patches have which IR's without sitting at the unit and look at each one and write it down.  Wish Line 6 software would run more uniformly than it does.  I should be able to back up all my patches, IR's in one step then update the firmware and go from there.  Firmware 2.71 I had to spend a week reloading my patches and linking my patches to the correct IR.  I can see why my lead guitarist bought a Kemper unit.  I'm stuck with Line 6 with my Variax and my two  Power Cab Plus cabinets.

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here, but if your IRs aren't showing up in HX Edit, it's almost certain that you're running an older version of HX Edit. Note that the number on the bottom of the HX Edit screen displays the version number of the firmware on the attached device, not the HX Edit version number.

There is a one step back up process. In HX Edit, you simply go to File>Create Backup, and that will create a backup file that contains all your Presets, IRs, and Global Settings.
