TheWolf2103
Hi all, I appear to have a dead HD500X after a timed-out connection & unsuccessful transmission of the HD500X bundle to the HD500X Edit software ... I followed the on-screen message to power-cycle the HD500X after the time-out & now the HD500X doesn't start up any more, i.e. the 'Line6' splash window comes up & the start-up process doesn't go any further than that ... the 'Line 6' splash window seems to 'cycle' on & off & nothing else... Did anyone experienced that before & can help? Is there a safe-mode to 'reload' the system data? It seems to me that the time-out maybe erased part of the system data? Any help is very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Wolf
silverhead
Hold down the left nav key while powering up. If it still doesn't start up, it should display a test screen. While this is displayed, run Line 6 Monkey and reinstall the firmware. Hopefully you have recent backup of your presets?
FrozenOzone
Thats a bummer. I have only had this happen to me once and that was a few months ago. What you need to do: "Power up the HD500x while holding the Left Arrow cursor down" and this will do a global reset. Hope this helps.
TheWolf2103
Thanks silverhead, Followed your instructions & - bingo - I brought it back to 'virgin state' life :) ... yes, thankfully I had the backup of the patches from earlier tonight, reloaded fine, re-calibrated the pedal & created a latest backup :) Thanks a lot.
