I'd like "calm down" my SV 112 MK2 with a power attenuator in between, but the wire that links the amp section to the speaker is too short: could anybody help me solve the problem? is it possible to extend that cable? if not, any other solution? thnx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
psarkissian Posted November 5, 2018 Share Posted November 5, 2018 Don't use an attenuator or L-Pad in between the power output and the speakers. Changing the output load impedance will damage the output transformer, power tubes and the speakers. And that might not be repairable. Don't do that.
