dandaponde
Hi, I don’t know if this is a dumb question but I have my Helix set to 1/4” out to my speakers and have USB set to computer. When I open my DAW and set to record, I was wondering if I can hault the straight signal to my speakers while I monitor through the DAW. There is two signals simultaneously coming through my speakers, direct and through the DAW. I hope this makes sense.
Gaz_Ham
Is the monitor function of your DAW switched off?
dandaponde
thats not the problem... the problem is when its switched on, its double from my daw and straigth playback to my speakers.. when my monitor is switched off... theres still playback direct to speakers. Gaz_Ham
Ok, im not 100% on what you hope to achieve. i purposely chose speakers which had a volume control, when im recording, i turn the speakers down or off and work through headphones, that are plugged in to the ux. dandaponde
ok... ill try to explain better... if im recording and monitor in my daw is on, i can hear through the speakers normal playback (ie how it normally sounds with daw not even turned on) and through the daw. when i turn track monitor off, i can still hear it normally through the speakers still. is there a way to turn off playback straight to 1/4inch speaker inputs so i can have that quiet UNLESS the daw monitor is turned on? Gaz_Ham
Ok. So you want to turn down the volume on the input from the helix? So you only hear it when you switch the monitor function on in your DAW?
Triryche
Also, if your speakers are connected to your Helix, and you want to monitor your wet tone from the Helix, typically you would leaving Monitoring off in your DAW.
