Problem updating software POD HD500

I am having a problem updating software on my pod hd500. I downloaded Line 6 Monkey 1.78 and installed the latest drivers 7.6.8.

I have pressed the Left button while powering up the unit to do a reset.

Monkey shows that the unit is connected via usb but says the drivers have not been installed (they have), and cannot determine the USB firmware or flash firmware.

The unit shows Flash FW: V2.32 and USB FW: V0.00.

When I try to update the USB firmware it says it cannot establish a connection with the unit.

When I try to install the Flash firmware I get an error (80000005) unimplemented function called.

Also if I run the License Manager it doesn't see the unit either.

I saw your post while trying to fix a similar problem. This worked for me:

1. Open System Preferences in OS X Mojave

2. Select "Security and Privacy"

3. Select the "General" tab

4. Look at the bottom for an alert about system software prevented from loading

5. Select to allow software from Line 6

6. Retry driver install etc. with Line 6 Monkey.

Good luck!
