My adapter/cable was not M Audio, but it worked fine.  I bought it 15 years ago or so.  It was a generic device.  I can't even identify it.

Yesterday I bought the M-audio uno usb midi converter. Really works with it. The 2.0 update was successfully installed.
It works now.
I just don't fully understand the amplifier topology that it handles.
Do I have to set per amp preset what amplifier to use?
That's weird with the Pod HD300, it was automatic.

I'm guessing you figured it out by now and are blown away like the most of us.  Am I right?

Yes. If I observe it well, it will inject Amplifier I. by default. I can change this even for presets.
