Hiss on Line Out - Amp

I did a search and could only find one thread from 2016 that wasn't resolved.

I have been using the Firehawk FX since 2017 and have been very pleased with its performance and capability. I've used it primarily as a practice modeler, utilizing the amp models along with the pedal effect models. I recently decided to try it connected to a Princeton amp that I have. This amp runs very quiet, both with and without a guitar connected. I setup a basic signal path of no amp, the Screamer HD, and Spring Reverb. I'm connected to the amp through the Line Out Left/Mono jack with the button on Amp. Turning on the Princeton, I'm immediately getting a whispering hiss that is noticeable and prominent. If I add another Stomp -- say a fuzz effect -- the hiss increases substantially. I've tried different model effects, compression, and noise gate settings, but nothing gets rid of the hiss. If I press the button in for the FX jacks to Line (nothing connected to the jacks), the hiss drops a little, but not much. The ground lift button does nothing. The hiss will increase and decrease also with the volume knob.

This is very disconcerting, as I had been hoping to use the unit as a versatile pedal board when performing with an external amp.

Has anyone experienced this, and if so, what did you do to fix it (if you could)? Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

The cable from FHFX to amp is in good condition?

Over the hiss you can hear the sound?
