Wayman7
I'd would love to replace the stock pick ups of my JTV 59 with the Seymour Duncan Slash Set. I ask myself if this is possible and working well. These pickups come along with single conductor braided lead wire - so where would you wire them? And with a DCR of 8.9 its a little over the recommendations. Does anyone has experience with that question? thx so much!!
psarkissian
8.9 k-Ohms should be okay, just a smidge darker warmer tone.
Wayman7
Thank you for your help! The warranty is over anyway, no worries. But the other question is with - just one hot and a shield cable - where do I connect them? Is a replacement with a two cable pickup possible? I assume shield to W1 and the hot cable to W2.. Would that work?
psarkissian
Stick to the color coding. Also check with the maker of the pick-up or any instructions that came with the pick-up.
