Firehawk connected to amp and 2 powered speakers or small PA.

Hi folks, I have a Blackstar TVP260 amp which I love. Is it possible to connect ny firehawk via a splitter directly into the amp and then also directly into the firehawk and take the stereo out XLR connectors to either a small PA or to 2 powered speakers. The purpose would be to have a true wet, dry wet mix. The dry signal straight through the Blackstar amp and the wet stereo fx modulation, delay and reverb etc to the stereo speakers. Would the Bluetooth music stream also work sending a backing track to the stereo speakers/PA?

Has anyone tried this sort of set up?

Yes, you ought to be able to jury-rig a wet/dry/wet setup if you utilize an ABY pedal and the Firehawk FX's FX send ports. The ABY would then send your dry signal to the amp, and the other part of the split back into your Firehawk for additional processing.

If you utilized the Bluetooth abilities I believe it would send the signal to the PA and not the amp unless you changed the global settings and asked the Firehawk to process ALL the signals. At that point it places the bluetooth stream in the signal chain, and I believe it would then go to all the outputs, but you would probably not like the result.

Okay - update! I have now purchased two Mackie Studio monitors (MR8 MK3) and have set up a wet, dry, wet mix. I have connected the two Mackies to the two out connectors. I’ve then set up an FX loop connected to my amp. The distortion and compression are set up to go to my amp and the delays, reverb and modulation are sent to the monitors. I can then use the mix control on the Firehawk to balance the sound. So far I’m blown away with the result. Still early days, but the clarity you get from the amp combined with the full spread of wet through the Mackies is astounding.

This set up is in my home. I’ll soon be relocating to a larger music room and I’m sure the overall effect will only get better with the Mackies further apart.

Another bonus is that when you play backing tracks through the Mackies they just sound awesome. The definition is incredible. It reminds me of the first time I bought and used some high quality Headphones for listening to music. You just hear so much more detail!
