Pod Hd500 Crashing Windows 8

So, I've been having this issue for a while now.

What happens is, I install my POD USB drivers and whatnots, do everything fine, then while I'm working in Edit or in my DAW, every now and again the system will crash, usually with a "BAD POOL HEADER" or some other driver-related issue.

Upon reinstalling the drivers, trying different USB ports, and even reflashing the POD itself, the problem still persists

Can anyone help me out here?
