terryau
Dear all, Would like to know about your recommendation on my connection. currently i am editing my sound by using my desktop monitor with using HD 500 1/4" output, output model use direct/studio, this sounds good and real when i am editing. However, when i go to band practice, plug into my Laney ironheart 15w tube amp by using its return input(change HD 500 output setting from studio/direct to stack pwr amp), it sounds horrible, most of the sound goes CLIPPED. i wonder what should i do in this situation. Studied the manual of the HD500 it recommend me to change all amp sim from full amp to pre amp, is it the proper way to do it? if i shift to pre amp model, should i switch off the cab sim while i am using my power amp? look forward to hear from you reply, thanks! Yes - I would try using pre amp models with no cab/mic sim. Also, switch the output from Line to Amp (hardware switch on the HD500).
Charlie_Watt
Line to Amp should solve the clipping distortion problem.
