BaylorPRSer
Can you do that with the HD500? If so, how would that work? I'm mainly interested in recording s/pdif, but if not, could i record like that using 1/4" cables? Thinking about getting one of these. PaulJam
Hi, You can achieve this by setting the S/PDIF output to "dry inputs" and use the the analog outputs for the POD tone. Or, if you want to use the S/PDIF exclusively you could set up a dual tone patch with both channels hard panned to left and right where you have no effects on one channel. In that case the S/PDIF should be set to "match outputs". With the second possibility you can only record two mono signals (the first gives you two stereo signals). Also keep in mind, that the S/PDIF output is deactivated when you have something connected via Line6-Link (e.g. a DT25 or a StageSource speaker). BaylorPRSer
ok does the pod hd pro have anything extra that would make that work better?
PaulJam
The POD HD Pro is the only one of the HD family with an S/PDIF input. With that you could record the dry signal and later re-amp the signal as often as you want without having to go analog. But i don't own a POD HD Pro, so maybe someone who has one of those could chime in and share his/her experiences with re-amping.
