jlyman
I just picked up a used DT25. LOVE IT! I wanted one way back but it wasn't meant to be. Anyway... modes 1, 2, and 3 are quiet. Mode 4 is the is the high gain mode. While sitting with no action from the guitar and regardless of where I have the volume on the amp, I notice a bit of hum coming from it. Should it be quiet with no hum like the other modes? I'm assuming this is working as designed though because of the high gain.
detlevski
I also have a big difference in hum in mode 4 and the rest, disabling the compressor fixes it. Not really an option.

maxwalmsley
I bought my DT25 second hand recently and had some hum as well. Ordered a new matched set of Electro Harmonix EL84s.... It's nice and quiet now! Thanks
detlevski
I am not that sure it is just a matter of changing tubes. In my case the hum (and noise) was caused bij the HyperGravity Compressor. In the default profiles all the 3 different settings use Auto Gain. Obviously a high gain mode setting of the DT25 is more susceptible for noise that is amplified by the Auto Gain feauture. Using TonePrint I have created a setting with Auto Gain off and reduced the noise and hum.
