The recorded (monitored) volume depends on your track faders, master fader, Hx trim setting. You can compare them by switching direct monitoring to DAW monitoring while playing (I know - 37ms latency is painful) 10-15dB of headroom is normal in case of "amplified" signal - you can still adjust it in Helix blocks. 20-30dB of headroom is normal in case of DI signal.
